Catskills Irish Arts Week Photo Book planned by Tim Raab

I received this email from Tim Raab, the Catskills Irish Arts Week photographer, surely many of you have seen him if you attended the festival during past summers. He has asked me to reach out to as many as possible so he can collect memories and stories to go with his photographs. I have sent the email privately already to many people I know who had attended, but certainly there are many, many more here on the session site, than I personally know, so Tim asked that I put his request for stories up here at this site as well to reach a larger number of folks.

Tim's email address and snail mail are below, in his original email he asked be posted here. Please respond directly to him if you have any interesting stories or even great memories connected to any of the photos online.

The links to his photos of bygone years (though he is focusing on 2007 for this project) can be found on the left of the CIAW website: http://www.east-durham.org/irishartsweek. His photographs which document the Irish Arts Week festival are wonderful memories and works of art.

From Tim Raab, Catskills Irish Arts Week principle photographer:

Sometime this year, I intend to publish a hard cover book of my photographs of the Catskill Irish Arts Week 2007, based on my photographs published on line. My idea is to attempt to reach as many of the CIAW crowd as possible and ask the 2007 attendees to write me with memories, comments, short paragraphs, prose, captions, based on their favorite photographs/montages in the on-line CIAW 2007 exhibit. Then I would edit "the best" of them as the words to accompany the photographs.

If you right click on a photograph or montage, the computer should reveal a specific file number, which you need to note, so I know specifically which photograph or montage you are writing about. For example: "DSCF4654M".
A total of 80 panels/pages will be printed.

Of course I would credit each author, but no one would be paid.

Many participants = many different perspectives.
It should be quite interesting, and uplifting.
Your comments and submissions should be sent to: tim@timraabnorthern.com
or mailed to: Tim Raab Northern Photo, 16 James Street, Albany, NY 12207.
Please include all your contact information.

Thanks, Tim Raab
