I'm having difficulty at the moment linking to the TG4 tv page for live and archived programmes. A blank window opens with lots of clicking while at the bottom of the page something saying TG4/ checksystem flashes.
Any ideas? I assume I have accidentally altered some browser setting. Using IE8.
Had similar problem a while ago. This happened in 2 different PCs using XP and Vista / IE and Firefox. I don't think it was to do with the browser settings. The common factor was an Orange broadband connection. Before I got a chance to my laptop via another connection to prove whether my Orange link was the issue the problem resolved itself (possible broadband link refreshed itself???). Sorry not to provide an actual solution but at least this can give some hope that your TG4 access will return at some stage. Maybe try rebooting the broadband connection as a test. TG4 did reply to me when I contacted them on webmaster@tg4.ie.
it doesn't seem to be a problem at the tg4 end anyway...I've just logged on and am watching the Geantrai's I've missed recently - seems to be working fine.
You could try to restore the defaults in IE maybe?
I just spent about three hours last night watching "Kings" . Lots of Buffering, reconnecting, etc. Really tried my patience, but i was determined to see the whole film. My problem is that i don't know much about this weird little machine. Resetting browsers, orange connections- all g(r)eek to me. Maybe I should take a class or something...I did finally see the whole thing though and a grand fillum it was, altogedder!
Have you experimented with the settings by clicking the options on the tg4.tv screen? I have found setting 4 greatly improves the responsiveness for me.

Re: TG4 difficulty tuning in
Yes, I am on Orange, but formerly that was not a problem. Rebooting the broadband connection hasn't worked, I'm afraid.
