Scottish music websites

Does anyone know of some good Scottish music websites? Not the really traditional tunes though! I play the fiddle and I've found some Scottish tunes on The Session and It's the best site I've found so far. (I know It's Irish!) ;~)
Thanks

Re: Scottish music websites

Thanks for the plug Patrick, but I reckon Nigel Gatherer's site is your best bet Fiddlegirl:

Re: Scottish music websites

Hi fiddlegirl1 - this is a really good Scottish ABC collection: http://trillian.mit.edu/~jc/music/book/skye/
If you use the JC tune finder http://trillian.mit.edu/~jc/cgi/abc/tunefind to search for particular Scottish titles you'll find them in other large ABC archives too. Happy fiddling in 2009!

Re: Scottish music websites

You can try these for tunes:

Scots Fiddle.com
with links to the Kings Head tunebook and a collection of Cape Breton Tunes
http://www.scotsfiddle.com/tunes.htm

JACK CAMPIN - Jack is a musicologist in Scotland that has some really neat abc collections on his website. See the Traditional Music resources - my favorites are:

"The illustrated tutorial on modes and modality in Scottish Music"
http://www.campin.me.uk/Music/Modes.abc
And
"40 scottish session tunes in abc compiled by Jack Campin"
http://www.campin.me.uk/Music/ScottishSessionTunes.abc

Boston Harbor Scottish Fiddle School Sheet Music (For the last 5-6 years)
