I’ve been asked by Angela Crotty – Jr. Creehan’s daughter – to sell two flutes that belonged to her late husband, P.J. Crotty. These are the same flutes that PJ used on the lovely CD, Happy to Meet, that he made in 2003 with James and Carol Cullinan.
The first is an Eamonn Cotter 6-key in blackwood. This flute is beautifully made and sounds great. It is in perfect condition and tuning. The rings are very delicate and the flute is elegant and a great player. Angela is asking €3,500 for this flute.
The second is an Eb flute. This is made by the French firm, Buffet & Crampton, and is also a 6-key blackwood. It is a fine player. Angela is asking €4,000 for it. It is in good condition and has a new lower replacement tenon repair made by Michael Grinter.
I have no financial interest in these flutes. I am posting them as a favor to her. These are the prices she has set on the flutes. I will send pictures on request. You can hear these flutes played on the CD mentioned. Angela is open to offers.
