Re: Cd Duplication/publishing companies-HELP!

Try Martin O Malley at Malbay Studios. There used to be a place in Kinvarra that had good prices, can't think of the name now and can't find it on-line.

I seem to recall a lot of people sending their stuff over to somewhere in Eastern Europe. While I can't think of the name now it was on the back of a whole whack of cds in the credits.

I just found this on line;
Paul Mulligan & Tony Trundle's studio in Kinvarra. So I have no idea if this is the one kilfarboy is talking about.

It was Open Ear Productions, it seems they are now in Gort:

Most people go to Mid Atlantic in Enniskillen or Trend in Dublin, adds a bit on the transport cost but not hugely so.

Get quotes, places do drop their prices if you show you got a better quote elsewhere.

Re: Cd Duplication/publishing companies-HELP!

You have to weigh up what you need, the bigger places often take care of the whole process but usually have a minimum of a thousand copies per order. I have found it practical, once the initial printing sold out, to order small batches as long as demand was there, minimising financial risk (I had extra copies of the cover printed at the first go)

Re: Cd Duplication/publishing companies-HELP!

If you wish to minimise the initial cost, or you're not sure how many you will sell, think about starting with say 100 duplicated discs (that's "burnt" copies) complete with printing etc, then if you sell well, use the money towards a run of 1000 - sort of like Kilfarboy says but the other way around.

Whichever way round you do it, use the same company for the small and large runs so that the printing specs are the same - that's a real pain to change if you switch companies as the templates for the on-body and paper printing tend to be slightly different between all of them (I've just had to redo 1000 DVDs with a new company because the company which did the original run of 3000 went bust).

Just to say that Mid Atlantic is no longer in Enniskillen. Robyn Robins, the owner, moved back to the good ol us of a last year.

Re: Cd Duplication/publishing companies-HELP!

Assuming you are living in Ireland (p&p and all that) I've just had 150 cds duplications done from a master copy. Had them done with 'duplication.ie' Photo on cds etc. Very pleased with the price (euros) and the way they dealt with the order.
