I'm just curious at this point, but how soon would other members here, who have had experience of firstly getting a group together, then booking them into B&B or whatever, accomodation, for the fleadh week at Tullamore 2009? Or other similar festivals in Ireland.
Then ensuring the numbers turned up nearer the time, ie people maintaining commitment.
I've been stung before by people pulling out of events to do with the music. And yet strangely that has not been the case for sporting events I'd been previously involved with.
Don't ask me why but sports usually involve pain and exertion yet music tends to mean pleasure and hedonism.
But maybe these are not comparable phenomena.
And also sports are to do with winning whereas music isn't.....or did I not understand that bit....

The trick is money up front in my experiance . I have organised, as have you ,both types of trips and found similar issues
