Using Real Player I am trying to download the video.
It is going slow, if it is going at all. I have to get off line for now & will retry later. Real Player should work, right?
My Real Player doesn't record TG4 Random_notes ... but why download when you can play the segment over and over quite easily where it is? Very heartening program for this old scraper for one. Some catchy tunes, some wise words and a visit to Jeremy Irons' castle castle ... loverly.!
You seem to be correct Clear Drops. I might try fiddling around w/Real Players' program. Will let you know if it works.
Supposedly the Beta/Real Player 11 can download streaming video. I have saved RTÉ Programs of the "Full Set." These are on my laptop & get played for a session - mate who does not have a computer.
Björn, thanks for the link to Orbit. It seems to be working & I will try downloading Faoi Lán Cheoil this afternoon.
Last night we were watching a great program; Sé Mo Laoch: Johnny Connolly. I would love to have a copy.
Cheers!
Hooray! Finally able to save some of TG4.
Orbit did stick at 99% & I deleted that copy. Today I grabbed another copy & it kept recording even after the show had completed. I stopped it, deleted the .ob! extension, & played the .wmv file. The copy will not fast forward . . . Ah, the miracle of software. There are a few bugs, so I will keep plugging away saving music from TG4. Ultimately I want to get some audio tracks.
Thanks Björn for getting me on to something better. Cheers!
Great finish to Faoi Lán Cheoil

If Orbit gets stuck at 99%, which often happens to me, exit the program find the downloaded file and remove the .ob! at the end of the file extension.
