Cultural Exchange

Cultural Exchange

I run trad Irish and trad Bretonne sessions in my bar in Plancoet, Brittany. Many local musicians can play Irish trad and to a very high standard. Last Friday 31st Oct and Saturday 1st Nov I had two fantastic nights of Irish music. The 'Legacyband' came to visit and between 16 and 20 local musicians turned up. When I say local some of them travelled 50 Km or more to be here.

I am looking at the idea of 'pub twinning' NOT town twinning where I can extablish a relationship with a pub or trad club in Ireland or anywhere that hosts Irish trad sessions. Then arrange for them to come here and for our local musicians to go there. The aim is to exchange tunes, skills and frienship. And, of course share a pint or two.
Does anyone reading know of an existing 'pub twinning' I could contact to learn more on the pros and cons. Or, anyone reading would like to develop the idea further and establish a twin?

Re: Cultural Exchange

Maybe through an already existing culutural establishment like Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann or Na Piobairi Uilleann?
