I don't know if this has been posted before but you can alter the tempo on ABC MIDI files on Concertina.net using the "Q" line.
Just add Q into it's own line followed by a number where as 150 is slow and 300 is quick and so on.
Copy and paste this example:
X: 1
T: Earl's Chair, The
M: 4/4
Q: 340
L: 1/8
R: reel
K: Dmaj
B2 dB BAFA|B2 dB BAFB|AF (3FFF DF (3FFF|AFdB ADFA|
B2 dB BAFA|B2 dB BAFB|A3 B defd|1 edef d3 A:|2 edef d3 f||
e2 ef d2 df|edef dB A2|e2 ef dcde|fedB ADFA|
e2 ef dB (3BBB|gB (3BBB defg|afbf afeg|fedB ADFA:|
As you can see you can change the number after Q to suit your own needs and also this might work on other ABC MIDI converters too.

upmine3 - reckon that most people either knew that (e.g.me!), or otherwise just weren't interested!
But your discussion looked a bit sorry for itself with a zero count, so I thought that it deserved at least one reply ...
