Hi there
I'm looking for another recordings of the tune called as "The mist covered mountain" by David McNevin in "Rattlin' Banjos" cd and in the book "50 solos for irish tenos banjo", but I only can find 2 diferent tunes (with the same name, one a scottish waltz and the other the well know irish tune).
The McNevin version is a well known traditional tune too, but I think the correct name isn't "The mist..."
Has anyone listened that cd?

It is sometimes played a string higher, coming out as Amix.
The tune is recorded by De Dannan in a set with "the Mist Covered Mountain". I think it is the first track on "the mist covered mountain. I learned it years ago from the DAvid McNevin book/cd & always assumed the naming confusion was relatted to the fact that these tunes were recorded together on the de dannan cd (well LP in them days).
