Peatbog Faeries!!! unbelievable! Storming! Audience went berserk! I hope my hearing has recovered sufficiently to appreciate again later today the more refined brilliance of Altan!
Cambridge and Folk in the same sentence?
Would Mike Harding touch it on his dire programme if CFF had anything to do with Folk? Radio 2 is probably the "kiss of death"
Granted, PBF and Altan are the exception to the above.
Yes, Ross and Jarleth are amazing, check them out.... the piping in the Old Bush is absolutely astounding - legends in the making http://www.myspace.com/rossandjarlath
Seen Beoga for the second time there and think they are great entertainment, I'll be get their CD for sure. Altan were majestic as ever.

And there are usually some pretty good sessions to be found if you've got backstage access or can stay sober enough late enough in the day/night!

Re: Cambridge Folk Fest
Yes, they were a treat. So were Ross Ainslie and Jarlath Henderson on pipes. Michael McGoldrick was truly memorable. Lots more...
