I remember seeing this on a video tape many years ago and I am sure that the name appeared at the bottom of the screen as Mark Mohan. Perhaps some one who knows him could ask him to confirm or deny? I remember the name because it was so unusual and his playing quite stellar.
Brother of Peter Mohan (banjo & piano accordion). Boys spent their early years in London and learnt their music there before returning to their parents home town in Monaghan in their teens. Joe no longer plays but Peter is still playing away in Dublin.
P.S. Joe Mohan is no relation of Mark Mohan (to my knowledge)

This video was made around 20 years ago. Does anybody know who the young banjo player is?
Thanks for any insights.

Re: Identity of this banjo player
Someone on youtube commented that it was Mark Mohan. It doesn't look like Seamus Egan to me at all. The mystery continues...

Re: Identity of this banjo player
Hi Christina,
it's neither Seamus Egan nor Mark Mohan.
It is "Joe Mohan" of Ballybay, Co. Monaghan.
Brother of Peter Mohan (banjo & piano accordion). Boys spent their early years in London and learnt their music there before returning to their parents home town in Monaghan in their teens. Joe no longer plays but Peter is still playing away in Dublin.
