I have a chance from time to time to sit down with the wonderful folks who participate in the Conor O'Neils session in Boulder, Co. on Sunday evenings. A few weeks ago, I was in town and heard that there might be a session or private group starting up on Wednesdays
To anyone in the area - do you know anything about a Wednesday session or group in the Boulder/Denver area?
There's a Wednesday session that has started up recently at Scruffy Murphy's in Denver. Two different groups of players alternating weeks. One of them is Dave and Kevin of Empty Pockets, and they have kept that one rather private. I believe the other is led by the Riverrun folks. That hasn't really matured as a session yet, I think, so we'll see how it goes.
I also have a bi-monthly private session on Wednesdays in Erie. My session is invite-only because we have limited space for players, and try not to overextend the establishment, which takes good care of us. PM me if you're interested in knowing more.
I have heard there is music at a new pub in Boulder called the Scotch Corner on Broadway near Canyon. Not sure what night it is or if it is more like a gig than a session, but if you're in town, it's worth going into the pub and finding out.
Looked at websites. Apparently it serves Belhaven ale and single malts and authentic Scottish food like steak and ale pie and fish and chips. Brilliant. I am totally going to go there when I visit home in a couple months. LOL.
