This time it is a *scientific* method based on statistics and the deep knowledge of the members of the mustard board. I checked how many hits I get when searching for a band's name at the home of thesession.org
The top ten is
The method has a few limis:
Planxty gets 1190 points, but most from ' Carolan Tunes and the absolute winner is my own band 'sláinte' who got 2050 for unknown reasons
Also I did not care about the context, I guess many comments on the band on rank 10 might be negative....
Just because something gets a hit does it mean it's popular?
