The Goats Don't Shave song right?
It's a reel called "Tam Lin" (written by Scottish musician Davy Arthur) and you can find it here:
http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display.php/248
On that recording it's played one string higher (A minor rather than D minor), and with fairly free use of triplets.

Re: The Hills of Donegal sheet music

Or better known as "The Glasgow Reel" which was played brilliantly by Goats don't shave at the finale of that song. That fiddle player must have been on Red Bull when he played that.

Oh and by the way the first part is played then the second is repeated over and over, but you knew that anyway.

Re: The Hills of Donegal sheet music. "Tam Lin"

Tam Lin is this reel's original name. It seems it may have been renamed because certain people disliked the original title. see the note on Tam Lin in The Fiddler's Companion:
http://www.ibiblio.org/fiddlers/TA.htm

Jason Philbin, fiddler in Goats Don't Shave (who is a grandson of Neillidh Boyle, the greatest Donegal fiddler of the 20th century) repeated the whole tune many times when playing it in concert, it's a pitty this never made it onto the record.

The only link this tune has to the ballad Tam Lin is that the reel is named after the ballad. But in case anyone's interested, here are the lyrics of one version of the old ballad Tam Lin: http://www.tam-lin.org/versions/oxford.html

(The above site gives many more versions of the ballad and a lot of interesting background information.)
