Hynes Brother (flute) and old stuff

Hynes Brother (flute) and old stuff

I have posted a recording of the Hynes brothers. I learned the first tune as it is an easy reel. In my opinion the second tune is a bit harder... I would like to know the name of these tunes so if anyone knows their names??...

Re: Hynes Brother (flute) and old stuff

Yes the first tune is Billy Brocker's. Don't have a name for the second tune either, but I learned both tunes from the Hynes lads as well. That set is definitely 'their' set - I could be wrong, but I think a recording of it appears on The Clare Tradition and one of the old cassettes of the Four Courts Ceili band.

I just added the ABC for it: http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/8313
