Yorkshire's finest female uilleann piper Becky Taylor's new CD has just been released according to her website. Has anyone heard it yet? Her last one was great. I've got mine on pre-order, just wondered what people thought.
just got my copy of Becky's new CD. First listen says that it's a departure from the material on the first CD.
First one was more trad, but second is a little progressive, in the same way that Mike McGoldrick's "Fused" was a more modern than the "Morning Rory" that preceded it.
In fact, Becky's new "Ireland Bridge" reminds me of "Fused/Wired", but on pipes.
It only landed yesterday, so it's probably going to take a few listens to get into the tunes, whereby the first CD was more immediate.
Class playing though!
