It's a super festival, pretty well the highlight of my summer, and we're celebrating our eleventh anniversary. Hi Cait..... am planning on going to Goderich this August, and so are a bunch of my friends....... I wouldn't miss it! Hope to see you at one of our sessions on the beach.......Aoife
I will certainly be there for the festival but not during the week. The past two years there has been some playing around Joe Kennedy's uilleann pipes tent but I heard that Joe isn't going this year. I hope that's not true. At any rate, if anyone wants to play, I often hang around with Peter Cox, who also has a booth with citterns, bouzoukis etc.
Thanks Cait for posting the link, I hope it's up to date. The festival is preceded by the Celtic College (August 3-8) which features up to 50 musicians, craft artists, dancers and cultural specialists conducting informal workshops in Celtic instruments, language, dance, culture, and crafts.
If you have any specific questions regarding this festival which aren't addressed by the website, I will be pleased to find answers for you.
...and if you're curious, I've attended every minute since the beginning, so look me up!
