Something more to put you in that Christmas spirit?

Something more to put you in that Christmas spirit?

http://www.elfyourself.com/ ~ or someone else!? 8-)

I also had someone send me a couple of trad stuff, old timey musicians and Irish dancers, but I can't find it... What is this world coming to anyway? I wish I had some pictures of a few of you on this site, I'd so like to see some of you dressed up like this...

Putting a face on the demon ~

Alright, this is what family did to us, and the fisheye lens stunt is not appreciated...

Now you've seen me, stop laughing. The green tights were a pain to get on and I still haven't managed to peel them off... :-(

Oh yeah, they're red and white stripped, my Panto outfit. At least I'm not doing a dame... :-/

Re: Something more to put you in that Christmas spirit?

It gets easier with practice, getting into the tights

Here's me and my daughter. Weather in St Louis looks about like this right now, too.

Re: Something more to put you in that Christmas spirit?

I somehow knew all this photo posting business would end in beards- Mehitabel excepted, obviously :)

Here's the family.

http://www.elfyourself.com/?id=9602968514

It's the only time you will ever see my husband dance. My son is always thrilled when I take a picutre. And, Carly is her smiling self - loves the camera. Me, too many teeth showing.

Happy holidays, everyone.

Re: Something more to put you in that Christmas spirit?

& he's blushing and turned away, buy at least you got him up to dance if only virtually... ;-)

~ & another no-bearder P-K

Come on P-K, expose yourself!

Re: Something more to put you in that Christmas spirit?

Ceol- how could you....?
Incidentally, are you sure that's you in the picture?- and is that a new beard? I suspect you're on the run again to avoid doing the dishes.
There's so much identity fraud, one can't be too careful- and then there are those pesky elves, they'll steal the shirt off your back.

Re: Something more to put you in that Christmas spirit?

It was our impish Welsh relatives that did that to us both. I had a short beard last time I saw them, it is now snowy white and down to my chest in preparation for duties over the holidays, so ~

You'd better not shout, you'd better not cry, you'd better not pout, cause I'm tellin' you why ~ ~ ~ I'm checking the book twice for all you *@*%* just in case you don't deserve that new CD, bow, tipper, whistle or whatever this Christmas... 8-) Then I'm off to the bahamas for a long respite. It's hard work whippin' these dwarves into shape. All they ever seem to want to do is dance and sing... :-/

Yo Ho Ho and a bottle of rum, bottles and bottles of rum... :-)

# Posted on December 16th 2007 by ceolachan

Re: Something more to put you in that Christmas spirit?

Off to the Bahamas, eh?
...all right for some, eh?
...moan, moan, grumble, grumble...shiver, shiver...
(throws another elf on the fire)

Re: Something more to put you in that Christmas spirit?

Go fix yourself and anyone else present, a nice hot buttered rum P-K... I won't be able to head off to the Bahamas anyway, at least not until after the reindeer molt...

Re: Something more to put you in that Christmas spirit?

Buttered rum sounds good from where I huddle- guess that's stipulated in the Santa clause of your contract?

Re: Something more to put you in that Christmas spirit?

my wife has gone to the west Indies .
Jamaica ?
No she went of her own accord and I have not seen her since ;-)

Re: Something more to put you in that Christmas spirit?

Mmmm, I love Jamaican rum... At least demand something in return. The 'aged' stuff is supurb...

# Posted on December 16th 2007 by ceolachan

Re: Something more to put you in that Christmas spirit?

No, confusion, it's the Cuban stuff I know. I don't think I've ever had the pleasure of Jamaican rum, just the coffee. So, you get the rum, let me know when you've got your stock, and we'll spring a surprise visit... 8-)

Re: Something more to put you in that Christmas spirit?

On the 'beard', I'm actually a disowned and illegitimate brother of our illustrious Ptarmi, alias Dick Glasgow. I'm from the wrong side of the Wash... :-( Check his photo and compare for proof. See what you think...

Re: Something more to put you in that Christmas spirit?

So that's who it reminded me of- I knew it wasn't you. I have you down as ressembling a certain monastic-looking guy in black t-shirt, who only plays the bodhran when I go to the jakes (we're kind of synchronised in that way.) Not the man himself, obviously- just his virtual doppelganger...

Re: Something more to put you in that Christmas spirit?

...but then , I'm easily confused :)

That makes two of us...

I like the way like the way Ptami dresses like an elf for real .

Re: Something more to put you in that Christmas spirit?

See, I told you... I'm an outcast because I refused to wear the outfit and work for the North Pole Union, which is a sham anyway, company run. Despite all that, my feet are too wide and a fondness for drink used to get me into trouble continuously. I used to put Barbie's head on GI Joe's body and vice versa ~ and worse... They were glad to be rid of me. They were far too jolly for me anyway. What's joy without a little grump now and then, eh? I mean ~ HO HO HO!!! It always made me wish I had a shotgun full of salt peter... Of course he was jolly, he never really did any of the hands on dirty work of Christmas. We'd slave all year round and only have the one day off as he went flying about all over the place, the fat smelly old git... He's just too multi-national and corrupt, you know he's subsidized by Coke, including the outfit, the silly red suit. While he's up at the big house with all the modern conveniences and proper heating the rest of us were permanently in our long johns/tights ~ brrrrrr!!! ~ and lucky if we split a mince pie between two of us... The reindeer were better fed and cared for... :-/
