It means you have 3 sets of reeds, tuned in the middle octave....usually they're wet tuned ( one tuned standard A440, one tuned a little sharper than that, and another tuned slightly flatter). The amount of tremolo, or "wetness" varies on how many cents (hundreths of a tone) the slightly sharp and flat ones are tuned away from the A440.
In my experience, accordions with three sets of reeds on the right-hand side (three "voices") are either MMM or LMM, where the L means one reed set is an octave lower. Three-voice accordions usually have a "stop" or switches so that you have some control over which reeds are playing. My box, for example, is LMM and can play either MM or LMM--you pull up on the stop (a knob on the top of the box) to add the L reeds.

The MMM tuning, with three sets of middle reeds tuned as described above, is a proper Musette tuning. 'Musette' is often used to describe any 'wet' sound, but really it means the MMM. Not so keen on it myself, I like a LMMH tuned accordion - 'straight' or 'double octave' tuning.
In the days of vinyl, MMM was Music Minus One, ie a piano concerto minus the piano etc ( or the soloist was on the L channel and everything else on the right, so you could hear all, a bit, or none of it.
I am told it was popular through the 90's because it could get a really clear sound. Problem is it sounds a lot more like a concertina than an accodion.
