Does anyone know the name of this slide? I got it at a session, but I've never been sure where the beat comes in this tune and I want to find a recording of it.
I've often wondered whether the anacrusic ambiguity you sometimes hear in slides owes its existence a transitory Galego-Portuguese presence in SW Ireland.
When need arises a name might too, as when a recording is in the can and there's a want of something other than 'gan ainm' for the sleeve notes... It has happened many times and likely will continue, more often for recordings, but also in print...
I didn't know the name, either, but I knew I'd heard it either from Jackie Daly or Brendan Begley, so I just listened to a few seconds of each track from their albums on my iTunes until I found it.

Re: Tune name
John Murphy, track 5 on Brendan Begley's "It Could Be a Good Night Yet" http://www.thesession.org/recordings/display.php/731
And it doesn't appear to be in the database yet, unless it has another title.

Play it in the other key Mark and you'll confuse the bodhranistas...
