Hi, I'm a classically-trained flutist who would like to take lessons in ITM. Is there anyone in the area of St Andrews, Scotland who might be able to teach me? My schedule is fairly flexible, but I have no car so my range from St Andrews is limited.
In the meantime, can anyone point me toward some online resources for learning ITM, especially anything geared toward someone classically-trained? I've already found the excellent tutorials by David Cantini at ExpertVillage, and am waiting for my copy of Grey Larson's book.
I know someone quite close to St. Andrews, but she plays "simple-system" flute, not Boehm, and having tried to teach Boehm system players myself, I'm not sure that it works. I can ask if you like, though.
Kenny, I'd be interested in seeing if your friend might be willing to give lessons.
Szifty, thanks for the offer... I'm afraid that Edinburgh is a four-hour round trip for me (and that's just the main station), so it's a bit farther than is practical for me right now.
