Name for this jig?

Name for this jig?

The following is a rough transcription of a tune I heard played live on the radio by Jack Talty, on concertina. I didn't catch a tune name if he gave one. I tried the usual tune snippet searches here and on Henrik's site, to no avail.

M:6/8
L:1/8
R:jig
K:Dmix

Re: Name for this jig?

That sounds like a version of what I know as Thady Casey's. I couldn't find it in the database under that name, but I'd be surprised if it weren't there under another name.

Re: Name for this jig?

I was listening to the show last night, which I had downloaded a few weeks before. I'm pretty sure Jack Talty introduces the tune as Scully Casey's or Thady Casey's. It was exactly the same tune John Williams recorded with Martin Hayes.

Re: Name for this jig?

Thanks, everyone, that's it all right. Next time when I'm doing an Advanced Search for a jig, I won't automatically scroll past the slides that pop up.
