Desi does it with his band Cran (not on a solo album) and they do it with two Flutes, Ronan Browne plays the other Flute on the recording. It is on the album Lover's Ghost and their is quite good.

The tune linked to above is what we in my pipe band know as "The Pikeman´s March".
