This tune has resurfaced in recent days. I am sure I have the first part right, but I can't get the turn. I believe I learned it a good few years ago from the playing of fiddler Damian Harrigan of Burnfoot, county Donegal, though maybe Damian did not play in G. Anybody know it, got a name for it and know the rest of it? All help appreciated.

Your abc section sounds a bit like the B part of Father Kelly's (No 1), just played a third below...
This tune is notated at TheSession in D and a slightly different version. I have encountered this tune only in G, so here's the ABC for a version closer to what I know and play (JC's ABC tune finder):
Thanks for the help so far, but I certainly would have recognized both the Father Kelly tunes though there are some echoes. Anyway, the second part - or at least a second part - has shaped itself and it does seem to be a good match for the first part, so I'm confident I have the tune in some complete shape or fashion. So for those of you who pitched in to help, here's an attempt at the whole tune. Kenny, had a good chat with Mich in Copenhagen and and saw him very, very briefly in Milltown where I could only spend 2 nights.

Re: Anybody know this reel?
I did an advanced search in the tunes section for the phrase "cdef gedc" and got Dunderave and Green Gates. Is it one of those?

Re: Anybody know this reel?
I'll second heike's answer.
I've been whistling it for a few minutes and it's Father Kelly's No1 that comes to mind.

Re: Anybody know this reel?
Might it be the other Father Kelly composition , which has similarities ? Just a guess, from "abcs" in my head.

Re: Anybody know this reel?
I doubt it's Rossmore Jetty (aka. Fr. Kelly's #1). Mr. Longnote has played this music for long, so must know the very common tune.
