does jakie daly not play with patrick street any more. i went to see them lately in donegal and john carthy was with them.it was good but i would have liked to hear kevin burke and jakie daly again.they should put out another cd like the eavesdropper its still a great cd today.
I hear that Jackie has left Patrick Street. There's one fellow here who knows about it far more intimately than I do, so I won't upstage him. I agree about Eavesdropper, though it's decades old now and I think the chances of a follow-up along the same lines are slim! I think I play it more than any other CD at the moment.
Jackie will be playing at all the Patrick Street gigs this week, including Kilrush on Saturday; he will play a final gig with the band at the Return to Camden festival. Jackie was not playing in Donegal as he was leaving for east Durham the next day.

Both John Carty and Jackie Daly were with the band for a brilliant World Fleadh gig in Portlaoise last Wednesday.
