Good can come out of misfortune. I've been out all day and most of the evening and therefore would have missed it. I shall (I hope) have the opportunity of seeing it on the date of its later showing.

Wimbledon final comes just once a year. Why is it such a problem to reschedule Coast? That West Of Ireland one, BTW, is one episode which I really want to see also.

Well I for one enjoyed the tennis and was thrilled that a Brit actually won. I too am looking forward to watching the West Coast of Ireland episode of Coast but was glad the BBC didn't interrupt the tennis ... good decision in my opinion ... oh yeah can somebody please post a reminder on here when the beep decide to eventually show it.

They could have shown the tennis overrun on CBBC or CBeebies; neither of those channels was actually transmitting any programmes at that time of the evening.
Actually, and to keep my post in an ITM vein, if they've got those two channels with a lot of 'dead' airtime, they could buy music programmes from RTE and TG4 and air them!

Predictably, I suppose, it was sacrificed on the altar of BLOODY SPORT. We are told "it will be shown at a later date".

I'm afraid the BBC is a bit like that - sport is allowed to stomp all over the schedules, regardless of what people were expecting to watch.

IF (big if) tennis is SO important, why wasn't it shown on BBC1?
Or we to assume that The Chase was more important than tenns? (As it featured YORKSHIRE countryside, it probably was).
