Hello
I'd like to ask you for some recommendation concerning Irish Flute workshops (advanced level). I'm looking for something really intense, fit within 2-3 days framework, focused on Irish Traditional Music, preferably during the weekend.
I'd appreciate some feedback if anything comes to your mind. Any date and location in Europe will be fine. I know about those regular, all week summer schools in Ireland, but unfortunately my work won't allow me to attend one this year.
For example, I just browsed last year's schedule of Return to Camden Town Festival in London, and there I found those Three Day Music Workshops led by Harry Bradley. Looking at the description they seem to be exactly the thing I'm looking for. Any chances for having them this year, as well?
Looking at the calendar, the dates seem to fit 2006 (Friday - 20th). I will mail them for sure.
Meanwhile, if any other recommendation comes to your mind, please let me know.
Ja jade na willie clancy 7-15 lipca, zapraszam jakby co do siebie kolo dublina po drodze.(I'm going to the willie clancy summer school 7-15 july this year.)
Thanks, Marecki. Willie Clancy is a week-long summer school, so that's exactly what I can't afford due to my work. Anyway, will remember the invitation
Thanks, Sneezing Little Boy, as well. I will do the search
On 2nd-4th november (friday to sunday) we have the Caceres Fleadh in Spain. Harry was last tutor. Also taught there Davy McGuire, Maria Rafferty and Breandan O'Hare in past editions.
Intensive, not pretty sure. We only had about 6-8 hours of tuition (and in my case got late on first day because of work) Nevertheless, I certainly learned more in those 6 hours than in the last 6 months. Sessions everywhere, anytime, some concerts and Caceres itself, lovely town that worths a visit.
More info:
www.elgatoalagua.org The site is temporarily closed, but it will get operative as time gets near the Fleadh with all the updates. Anyway if you have any questions regarding the Fleadh I'll be happy to point you to Luigi, (the crazy mind who runs all the mess.)

That's where I found them before, but it seems to be the last year's schedule. The headline says 2006, but I may be wrong.

Re: Intense Flute workshops (2-3 days)
Apologies - I didn't spot that. Monday morning blues...
It says on the top that the program is being finalised, but does that refer to 2006 or 2007? Maybe give them a ring?

Re: Intense Flute workshops (2-3 days)
Sure, I will, but still hope to learn something here. Maybe Harry Bradley himself would know about some venue in question?

Counting on you
thanks in advance

You could ask Hammy Hamilton, he might know. If you google his name, and add "flute" if necessary, I'm sure you'll find him.
