I'm not sure what you mean by genre in this context, but I found the chords in the book I bought a long time ago very good indeed. In fact I've been looking for the other books in the series (I think mine is book 2, from memory).
Genre within or near the tradition(s) that this site centres on. It was published in Scotland rather than Ireland, and from the page design looks as if it may pre-date the 'Irish session culture' of the last 50 years. And the cover has dancers wearing traditional dress from somewhere (if anywhere) in mainland Europe !
Allan's Irish Pianist
Allan's Irish Pianist
What genre is/was this ?
How well would those base notes and chords go down on guitar at a session ?
