I was thinking about attending the festival in Ennis in late May. Has anyone here been to the festival in years past and can offer up some unvarnished opinions? (I would expect no less from this group)
I don't know about the May Festival, but if it is anything like last Novembers Trad weekend then you will be in for a treat.
There were sessions in most pubs at all hours of the day, (except mornings of course) The musicianship was outstanding. Some great concerts and CD launches. It pissed down most of the time but that certainly didn't dampen the spirit.
