Hey all
I will be driving my girlfriend to the t c and hanging out there for a couple of days on the 8 9 10th. I don't know anything about the city and don't know where exactly i will be but I was wondering if there any good sessions then or if any body in that location would want to get together and play some chunes...
If you're speaking of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St Paul in Minnesota USA, there's a session at Keegan's Irish Pub in Minneapolis on Sunday evenings from 5-7pm.
The Blythe Hill Tavern in Forest Hill is about half way between Central London and Central Croydon (recently pumped up to cityhood status). Let me know when your passing through. Sessions are Thursday nights. No plonkers though, please.
There's a wild session on nearly every night of the week in the Mended Drum, Filigree St, Ankh-Morpork. There's often a good number of students from the Unseen University, which is not far, and always one or two Heros. It's led by the Librarian, who's a really charismatic guy - sorry, ape - although he can get a bit over-enthusiastic with his piano accordion.
K, dont know the area at all so all these things you speak of are jiberish to me so... I dont quite know what any of you are talking about. What the hell is the "C & F"?
Sounds like you need to be more clear on where exactly you are going. the "Twin Cities" means different things to different people.
Keep in mind that this is an international forum, with people all over the world. It behooves you to be a little more polite, and help people help you, rather than just assuming we all know what you're seeking, and are willing to put ourselves out for your sake.

In Mpls., I think there is a new session starting at Merlin's Rest on Friday night. They are located at 3601 E. Lake St., Minneapolis - 612 216 2419.
Also, as mentioned above, Keegan's in Mpls has a Sunday session from 6 to 10. It's big.
