I'm planning to do some busking in the UK this summer. I know it would help if people had something to look at as well as hear.
Does anyone know where I could get hold of a dancing puppet perhaps looking like a pirate? I tried making myself one last year but to be honest lost interest.
I would prefer to busk standing up . . but there are puppet designs which allow you to be sat.
Done a search on the internet but with no results
Any suggestions please . . oh . . it has to be available here in the UK . .
If you want to reconsider creating your own puppet, you can find inspiration by Google Image searching for “Mr Tap “N” Go” or “Limber Toys”. I might suggest you have Safe Search clicked ON for the latter search.
I bought a Mr Tap N Go at Elderly Instruments in Lansing Michigan years ago (doubt they still carry them, though) and modified it so that it was suspended from a clothes-hanger wire attached to the end of a small teeter-totter/see-saw contraption. I tapped my foot on the end as I played and the little guy danced in time. Seemed to amuse people.
Yes thanks for the info fidkid . . that's what I'm after a "Limber Jack" . . wouldn't be too difficult to make one myself . . wish I knew someone at this side of the pond to make us one though . .
