Subject: Willow Band show at O'Flaherty's
Hello everyone,

I just wanted to let you know about a great show that will be at O'Flaherty's on Thursday, the 6th of February. The show features The Willow Band, which is comprised of EJ Jones, phenomenal piper formerly of Clandestine, guitar virtuoso Gerry O'Beirne, and Cape Breton fiddler Rosie Shipley.

Their last show here in late November was great, and this one promises to be even better, considering they have had more time to practice together as a group. A large group of us (twenty plus), that you would recognize from the ceilis, turned out last time and I suspect most of the same faces will be there again.

We joked last time that it was almost like a private party for us with some of our favorite musicians. So come on out. It should be a lot of fun.

I don't have all the details in front of me, but I suspect the show will begin at 8, maybe 9, and cover will be around $10. Call O'Flaherty's for the exact details, 504 529-1317. If you have any other questions feel free to email me. Hope to see you there.

Take care,
Kirk

Please stop including email addresses when you cut and paste from emails unless you have permission from the author.

Rather than constantly posting these announcements, which aren't discussions at all, would it not be better to simply add a link (if there isn't one already listed) to the "links" section for wherever people can sign up for the same updates that you receive?

By the way, glauber has a point. I had to edit the subject line because of its length.

Posting at thesession.org

I'm sorry Jeremy...when you'd had me move a one-time event from the sessions area into discussions, I thought that's where you wanted them. Thanks for letting me know so I don't keep stepping on toes in here.

I'll be very brief on subjects...I took glauber's *vague* hint, although I didn't leave that impression by my embarrassed laugh.
