I've been learning some airs and I picked up this one- "An Leanbh Si" which means "The Fairy Child. " I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it. I'm guessing from the title its got something to do with changeling/fairy children (just to state the obvious lol) BUT is there anything more specific? Does it have a song?etc etc
Just throwing it out there, I love that "The Stolen Child". It was read at a memorial service for a friend...the poem's haunting enough, I haven't (yet) heard the (accidentally, probably) related tunes...
An Leanbh Si- any ideas???

See poem "The Stolen Child" by W B Yeats at http://www.sacred-texts.com/neu/yeats/fip/fip19.htm which is based on the concept of children being taken by the fairies.
