There's one at the Bit of Ireland Pub every Weds. It doesn't start until nine or later, so I've only been once, but it was very good and very friendly. It's not far from the U of D stadium, on Rt. 2.
I go to sessions in Philly, and if I'm not mistaken, there is a fiddler who comes up fairly regularly from Newark, DE. I know it's a bit of a drive, and this response does not at all answer your question, but just thought I'd let you know that you wouldnt necessarily be the only Newarkian if you made the drive up.
I am not a Newarkian I,m from Cork Ireland but I am going to Newark next week and I thought I might get in a session there.
Never been in the great USA before looking forward to it.

Do you mean Newark, DE? There's one in NJ, so I wasn't sure (I don't know DE well).
