I've read a few discussions which mention John Brosnan.
I know he repairs and alters accordions, but I don't know where to find him.
Does he have a shop or workshop that I could visit next time I'm in Kerry?
Or maybe there's a website?
Hi Michael!
There isn't a John website, but you can try to contact a friend of mine (Paolo) that work every afternoon at Custy Music Shop in Ennis: he can get to you John's phone number.
He has a workshop at his house about 4-5 miles outside Killarney, its a little difficult to explain exactly where it is but if you give John a ring the next time you are in the vacinity he'd be able to give you precise directions.
Nice to hear from you. How's the Blythe these days?
Say hello to Con the guv'nor from me, next time you're in there.
We've settled in nicely in Suffolk, far too much decorating and DIY for my liking,
but otherwise it's a lovely place. Nice countryside, friendly people
and great beer, as you'll know yourself.
I've yet to track down any ITM, so I'm mainly playing at home.
Luckily we're detached, so the polkas aren't disturbing the neighbours too much!
The Blythe is doing OK, Michael - a bit up and down, but getting better. It should get even better in a couple of months time. Glad life treats you well. It would be nice to catch up with you if you can make it over to the Eastbridge or Middleton sessions this spring/summer. I've heard there was one in one of the pubs in Westleton, but doubt the veracity of that claim. Will be in touch!

Re: John Brosnan accordions
Hi Michael,
As a fellow Kerry native, I can get you his number. I have it at home, so it'll be tomorrow. He's a great player and a great tuner.
Also, next time you're in Killarney, try Buckley's Bar - he plays in there regularly...
