Ahhh fantastic! I wa only there for 3 nights - managed 2 house parties and about 24 hours worth of playing. The power cut on New Year's Eve only added to the ambience; tunes by candlelight in Hiúdí Beag's and pints flowing free - what more could you want?

hey conan yeah i wish i'd gone to huidi's for new year's eve instead of the hotel, might have got a few more tunes wonder if the party at martin's place is still going on now, wouldn't surprise me....
Loved every bit of it - great music, great gigs (special prize goes to Theresa Kavanagh for an astounding debut), sessions and house parties, I'm referring specifically to the aforementioned Martin's place, where I vaguely remember to have seen Conan and some others...
The New Year's Eve session by candlelight in Hiudi Beag's was an absolute cracker.

Kudos to Paula and Aislíng McCaffrey, who hosted the party on New Year's Eve/Day, next door to "Martin's Place". 2 session rooms in the one house, an open fire to warm your piles plus all the cold, congealed Chinese food you could eat (only joking - ye know we Ioved it)

Huidi's on New Year's Eve is definitely the way forward. Thank god next year I won't have to drive back the next day ready for exams.
