Looking for fiddle players…..New Session in the New Year
Born out of slight frustration of too many open mike and performance type folk clubs and not being able to attend sessions in the area midweek, I have decided to start a new session on a Sunday afternoon.
The venue is in the East Midlands UK. At a pub in the village of Draycott, which is in-between Nottingham and Derby. It will be held on 14th January 2007 from 1pm till early evening.
Draycott is only 4 miles from Junction 25 of the M1/A52 so is easily accessible for fiddlers from Nottingham, Derby, Loughborough, Leicester and even Sheffield.
The session is open to other instruments but I would ideally like the fiddle to be the prominent feature of the session. Also a few songs during the proceedings wouldn’t go amiss.
I am not a melody player myself but love backing tunes (mainly Irish & Scottish)
