Rhythm phrases

Hello,
I am looking for those little phrases that contain the rhythm of jigs, reels, slipjigs etc...
for example

Butter and Eggs, Butter and Eggs, Butter and rashes, sausages, and eggs

Any favorites out there?

Re: Rhythm phrases

Pardon my asking, but what do you use these "rhythm aids" for?

Re: Rhythm phrases

I learned the artichoke/pineapple, etc. routine when I attended a bodhran workshop. It was very helpful in learning that instrument.

Re: Rhythm phrases

It seems I missed this whole chapter in my musical learning. I still don't understand what these are used for. When you are about to play a jig, do you actually have to think "how does a 6/8 rhythm go again...oh, wait, it's Lexington, Lexington"? Don't you just sort of hear/feel the rhythm?
