The last time I ventured this suggestion ( http://www.thesession.org/discussions/display/10293) , it didn't get much response. Given the number of links submitted on the recent "youtube" discussion, I thought it might be worthwhile to offer it again: Creating a separate tab for video links. Or perhaps a tab heading under the "Links" tab? What do you think?
Tom, that's a big enough task for a website all on its own. Then one link from here to there could be posted.
Anyway it isn't a matter of what you or I, or several other people think - probably better to personal mail Jeremy directly and ask him.
So in the meantime, if anyone wishes to add to this collection, please feel free to post your favourite links over there & I'll be only too happy to add them to the relevent section, or start a new section.
I guess if I were Jeremy, my main concern would be whether the links are likely to have some longevity. With Google buying Youtube, copyright issues, etc., there may be lots of invalid links in a few months, which would make such a feature either useless or a nightmare or Jeremy.
What I would suggest is that people do what Ptarmi just did - create your own lists of video links, put them up on your own websites, and put a link to it in the Links section. At least until the video sites on the web resolve some of the uncertainty.
I am inclined to agree with you, Gary. Do you think that there are enough video links to justify a "video" heading under the "links" tab? I wonder how many of Ptarmigan's 241 video contributors were from thesession?
As thesession.org ages, expiration of l"inks" and "sessions" is another concern for maintaining this site as the excellent, up-to-date and relevant resource that it is. I am no web techie, but I wonder if it would be easy to insert code that thesession would automatically send the contributors of "links" and "sessions" an e-mail periodically, say once a year, to "update" their contributions? If no response, perhaps the "link" or "session" could be either automatically deleted, or, better yet, perhaps automatically have a "last verified" date posted?

Cecil, I've actually started gathering up interesting 'Tubes' on a section of my own new website Forum & I have a total of 241, so far!
