Have you run into any Irish musicians yet? I hope you have. I wish I could join you, but alas, I'm living in Chicago. My guess is that you would find quite a lot of Irish music in Galicia, but, that would be quite a hike from Barcelona.
Surprisingly enough, a local Irish band here in Chicago was contacted a few months back by a radio station in Slovenia (or one of the Eastern European countries) asking for their CD so they could play cuts from it on their new Irish music program. That still amazes me as to how far and wide Irish music has reached in this day and age.
