Rare Takamine PSF 95 for sale.

Rare Takamine PSF 95 for sale.

This is a great guitar for recording or gigging. Lovely round sound. Much more natural sound than any other takamine I've ever played. Check it out.

Re: Rare Takamine PSF 95 for sale.

Nice guitar, but not a dreadnought. To me, looks more like a concert size? Never played one but with that little waist I'd imagine lots of mids, round lows?

Good luck asking 800 Euros....

Re: Rare Takamine PSF 95 for sale.

Didn't even notice the discription said dreadnought. Took it of a takamine dedicated website. They were hand built and cost over €1,585.00 new. According to the dealer there were only 100 like this one ever built and only 50 of them ended up in europe. If I don't get €800 it'll go back on the wall. Even factory "made by the million" taks in good nick are making that kind of mony here on earth.

Re: Rare Takamine PSF 95 for sale.

I don't doubt it's a rare guitar worth every penny.

Considering its body style (the specific New Yorker style) especially with a Cedar top, combined with the other woods, electronics, inlays, and limited production, it certainly commands a price. I'd love to test drive it, and knowing Takamine's reputation I'm sure it's quite a cool guitar.

I made the remark because you're selling it on eBay, where buyers can be reluctant to pay a high price (i.e. what it's worth) with shipping, insurance, and other fees in mind.

Have you tried music classifieds or consignment? I'd think any shop would happily agree to consign a guitar like that, and it'd sell fairly quickly, at least in my area! Of course depending on the shop owner's cut (sometimes up to 30% ..ouch), you might well be making the same money as eBay after expenses, maybe less. But in the past I've made a better go of it that way and for some reason with classifieds, the buyers aren't as timid, and there aren't any fees... just a thought.
