Pay the Reckoning site

Pay the Reckoning site

Forgive me, if this has been raised before, but does anyone know what's happened to Aidan Crossey's 'Pay the Reckoning' website? Though a link appears on Google it only reveals that the domain name is up for grabs.

Re: Pay the Reckoning site

Geoff,
It was a 4-year domain name purchase which expired on Sep. 17, 2006. He might be having trouble recalling his password for renewal, or has changed his contact email and missed the notification. There's generally quite a long redemption period for him to reclaim use of the domain, so it's not quite up for grabs yet. In fact, the Whois utility lists it as Locked, a part of the long process toward the making the name available again.

Yes, it does seem strange. I imagine Kevin has it right.
His attendance at our session has been a bit sporadic of late. He started a new job a while back, which he enjoys, and he's been busy at that, so maybe the website activity has been mothballed. I'll email him for you.

Re: Pay the Reckoning site

He's disappeared completely from Mandolin Cafe forum.

You perhaps know he had planned to do an Irish music on mandolin album with lots of different players, including myself. it's now generally assumed to be not going to happen.

I'm interested to hear that he's been seen about at all. Please tell him that people on Mandolin Cafe could do with an update on his Irish mandolin project. If it's been abandoned, I don't think people would be too upset, but it would be good to know what he's currently thinking about it.

We've also missed his presence on the forum a lot.

Dagger Gordon.

Re: Pay the Reckoning site

Apologies everyone. Things got a bit difficult for me towards the end of last year and the beginning of this and I simply had to turn my back on many things that were happening ... I was in danger of losing the grip otherwise.

Enough said ... I don't want to dwell.

Things are on the mend and I've picked up one or two things where I left them off.

Thanks.

Aidan

Re: Pay the Reckoning site

Glad to hear things are on the up & up for you Aidan.

Just remember, there's a time & a place for everything, & what doesn't get sorted today, will usually keep quite happily until next month .................. or the month after that - never fear!

The secret is - 'Dinnae fash yersel'!

Onwards & upwards good Sir.
