This isn't related to Irish music, unfortunately, but it is related to free sheet music online. I have a hymnal, but no source for harmonies to nice secular tunes like "Deck the Halls," "We Wish you a Merry Christmas," and "Silver Bells." Does anyone have music to send or know where I can find such things so I can carol with my friends?
Sorry - I'm not answering your question. But there is in fact a set dance tune, The Sheep in the Meadow Straying, which is very similar to Deck the Halls. It is to be found on the Chieftains' "The Bells of Dublin", and I think was alos recorded by Finbar and Eddie Furey.

I don't know where you live, but here in Britain if you go into most High Street general music shops - the sort that sell keyboards, guitars, electonic lutes, inexpensive fiddles etc - you'll probably find that they also stock, particularly at this time of the year, books of Christmas tunes, both secular and religious, with a single line of melody and chord indications.

I just went through this exercise. There is not a lot out there but here are some sites that you find interesting:
1. The Nottingham music data base has a collections of 13 christmas tunes in abc notation. The link is

4. About.com has a christmas tunes page with about 30 traditional and modern songs on it....
