Have any of you played a Rich Shulman instrument? Rich is a luthier in North Carolina. He calls his business Richtone Instruments and mostly makes mandolins. What makes his instruments different is that the sides, neck, and headstock are all made from one solid piece of wood.
I'm thinking about having him make me an octave mandolin. Any comments?
