To answer the second question first...YES, but here's my dilema:
I went up to Chicago this weekend from St. Louis to visit some friends. My intention was to play in some sessions while I was up there. I saw on this website a listing for The Forge in Burr Ridge lead by Kevin Henry, which I had seen at the St. Louis Tionol a couple of times. The listing didn't have an address or a phone number so I just figured I'd look it up when I was there. When I got there I couldn't find a listing in the white pages, the web, or directory assistance. At this point I thought I must have copied it down wrong, so I came back to this site and tried to look it up again in the session listing and to my surprise the Forge session listing isn't there anymore.
Anybody have any insight as to where the session listing might have gone and more importantly, does the session really exist?
oh yes, this session exits. sort of a hidden session jewel in chicago. unfortunately, i only got to it rarely since i lived on the north side (this session is way down on the south side). i have no idea how to direct you or anyone else there; a friend drove to it. in fact, i'm going to be seing this said friend tonight at a paddy keenan concert here in DC and i'll ask him.
"this session exits" - as in it has no entrances.
Sounds like he'll have to kill you after he tells you how to get there Safer to be taken blindfolded in the back of a van. Bet the music is really great though!
