Re: looking for info.

Hi martin. There's a great session that goes on Saturdays at Fergie's Pub in Philly. http://www.thesession.org/sessions/display/275 I was there for a weekend in November and found the people to not only be great musicians, but also to be very welcoming.

Re: looking for info.

Martin,
For gigs in RI (you could stop by on your way from NY to Boston), try poking around on this website--http://rhodeirish.net/--a good collection of info on local musicians, venues, pubs, etc. The festivals are mostly booked, and many of the folk clubs slow down in the summer, but there are still some opportunities to be had.

One venue down by the beaches that books a lot during the summer is: http://www.thejoycefamilypub.net/, 907 Matunuck Beach Road, Matunuck, RI. 401-789-2684.

There is a nice new outdoor festival in southern MA in July, they say they are not booking any more acts, but who knows, they might make an exception for a talented person such as yourself: http://www.blackstonevalleycelticfestival.com/.

Good luck, and keep us posted on your travels, I would be delighted to get the opportunity to see you perform!

(Oh, and lamh trom, when you refer to us folks up here as pr*cks, you tend to disprove your assertion that people in the South are lovely!)
