Reading the previous posting about poor old Wogan got me thinking and bejasus that takes some doing. The fact is, we need some real music in the ESC and I believe that Lunasa have that perfect blend of trad credentials and pop star attitude. In some OTHERWORLD john REDWOOD would host the contest, ably supported by THE MERRY SISTERS OF FATE and it would be renamed THE KINNITTY SESSIONS. I guess that Lunasa would finish in position Se.
Lets not forget what the Eurovision contest is "suppose to be" all about . . most people have . . ITS ABOUT SONGWRITING , not performers. But most people seemed to have lost the plot. I reckon that most people who sing the songs in the contest wouldn't know a B sharp from a C natural . . for gods sake . . or a quaver from a packet of crisps . . or a minim from a mini skirt . . or a G string to a pair of knickers . . or a . . . aagh !

My favorite Eurovision song submission was one from Ireland called, "My Lovely Horse."

Haven't been convinced by Lunasa yet!
I think their CDs are a bit flat (don't get the top tapping) and a bit sameish.
Haven't seen them 'live' yet so I will hold my judgement until then.
Give me early Solas anyday if your talking about that type of trad!
