Does anyone know where you can get hold of one of these combined flute and whistle-holding padded bags, a bit like a tool-roll ?
My SOs' birthday is looming, and one would be a useful item to present.
"Sit here for the present", as they told a young Laurie Lee on his first day at school. He went home saying he wasn't coming back if he didn't get it..........
Pete - here's what I've been using for the last 6 years or so, and it's perfect.. I usually carry a few whistles and a Sam Murray flute in a wooden case. They all fit into a carrying case for drumsticks, which you can get at any half-decent music shop. Only thing is, you might be mistaken for a drummer ! Try it - it works.
If it's the same case as i have, it's a padded black case that you can put over your shoulder. These are brilliant for fluts and whistles because they are so well padded ans so well protected. I got my one from http://www.eaglemusicshop.com Ckeck out the website because they have loads of different flute and whistle cases. The one i reccomend is the Delux flute/whistle case for £34.99, but the cheaper ones should be good too.
I went for the eaglemusic as time was an issue. However, the Sassafras ones look splendid too.
As always, in between the craic, there is a wealth of useful knowledge and information on this site.
Thanks ! Slainte !
Michael Burke's whistles...check out his website. I have 14 whistles in different keys. I also bought have his roll cases. It would accommodate what you are looking for.

You may like this. http://www.angelfire.com/mo/sassafrassgrove/WhistleRoll/main.html I am sure Annie wouldn't mind making a custom one to fit a Flute in it.
