There is an advert on ETC tv ( an American channel ) it is for Mothers Day................anyone seen it?? There is a great singer who sings a song over the top of tv clips from shows.........does ANYONE know who the singer is????????
The voice sounds like a mix of Dick Gaughan and Bert Jansch, solo finger picked guitar and voice.........song goes something like.........'and I feel fine anytime shes around me,.....................when shes close or looks my way.....................its a long, long time and I feel fine'
it is actually an advert for Mothers day, basically an advert show clips from THAT channels tv shows that will be on on the big day...............the channel is called ETC.
It shows clips from Jay lenos chat show, clips of Tyra banks, and guff like that but the song over it all is lovely..............any ideas
OK. It's not technically an advertt. Here in the states we call it a station ID or a "bump". Which tells me that it almost certainly isn't a custom score (in which case it could be almost any unknown studio singer, much harder to find out) but more probably a piece of licensed music. iTunes search reveals the song is also done by Fred Benedetti and Peter Pupping on their album Moondance – the snippet I heard sound pretty close to Taylor's original. .Another way to find out would be to email the station's marketing department or general manager. I'm sure they get requests for info like this all the time and will have the answer at hand. Or Just try googling "something in the way she moves".
It might also be off of Tom Rush's classic "Circle Game" album. I think the tune copyright is owned by Apple, so you could fire an email to them. Wish I could help more. Good luck!
Thank you very much for the suggestions, I checked them out but sadly it is not the one......................At least I have found out what song it is, will just need to search for that voice.
THANKS for all the help and advice, have a great weekend
KS - you say the song is definitely "something...." but not by James Taylor. OK this is a George Harrison song of Beatles fame from, I think, the Let it Be record.

I'm not familiar with the ad, but I believe the song is by James Taylor: "Something in the Way She Moves"

Thanks Mickray, I just checked it out and it is indeed that song BUT this is not him singing it, his version is softer.
Thanks again, if anyone hears the ad I would appreciate finding out who the singer is...............

What's the ad for? There are a couple ways of finding out if you know what company produced the advert.

Re: who's the voice ( tv ad song )
Wouldn't that be Abbey Road instead of Let It Be?
